Worked out by the planner itself, not drawn by hand: 5 stops, each finished inside its hours, no waiting at a locked door, and the groceries ride home last because they are cold. Open it in the planner.

Say which way each stop is from home, how far, and when it closes. Around Town tries every order, keeps the one that fits the most stops inside their hours and gets you home soonest, and tells you plainly when something will not fit.

Run Pass
$1.95 a month or $19.50 a year: up to 10 stops and the best time to leave

Three things it asks. One run it gives back.

  1. Place each stop

Which way it is from home (north, southeast...) and about how many minutes' drive. No address, no map account, no location tracking.

  2. Add its hours

When it opens and closes, how long you will be there, an appointment time if there is one, and whether it is cold food that should ride home last.

  3. Get the run

The order, the clock time at every stop, any waiting, the time you get home, and for anything that cannot fit, the reason in plain words.

It checks what a list on the fridge can't.

The search is exact: for up to 10 stops it looks at every possible order, not a guess, and keeps the one that fits the most stops and has you home soonest.

How it decides
  • Closing timesEvery stop is finished before its door locks, not just reached.
  • AppointmentsA haircut at 11:30 stays at 11:30; the rest fits around it.
  • Cold food lastFrozen and cold stops always come after everything else.
  • Home byNeed to be back for the school bus? Set it, and the run respects it.
  • Best time to leaveRun Pass: tries each quarter hour in your window and shows the winner.
  • A sheet to carryPrint the run with a box to tick at each stop.

What it does not know

Around Town does not look up places, hours or traffic. It plans with the times you give it, and drive times between stops are estimates from your own minutes. Check a place's hours before you rely on them, and drive by the road, not the sheet.
